Patent Slip Ceases Operations
(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, October 2. Because of the reduced number of vessels being slipped and also because of increasing posts, the patent slip at Evans Bay will cease operations.
The slipways, owned by the Wellington Harbour Board, were leased to the Wellington Patent Slip Company and the Union Steam Ship Company, which did not seek to renew the contract which expired on September 30.
