Tribute To Dr Griffiths
The Christchurch Harmonic Society, the Royal Christchurch Musical Society, the University Madrigal Singers and the John Ritchie String Orchestra will all participate in a public concert devoted to the composition of the x retiring professor of music at the University of Canterbury, Dr. Vernon Griffiths, to be given in the Civic Theatre on Wednesday, October 18. Prominent Christchurch instrumental and vocal soloists will also.take part This gesture of recognition of Dr. Griffiths’ services to music is being organised by the performers themselves, all of whom are giving their services without payment
