Big Stake Earnings
(N.Z. Press Assn.—CopyrtgM) SYDNEY. Oct. 2. 'The leading Sydney jockey, G. Moore, with five wins and five seconds tn 12 mounts on the first two days of the Randwick spring carnival, earned £20,200 in stakes for his owners. Moore’s percentage earnings totalled £986. This includes £lOO for second on Gemstone in the Metropolitan and £lB in losing mounts. T. Hill, who had only three mounts for two wins, Summer Fair in the Derby, and Waipari in the Metropolitan, brought a total of £13,851 to his winning owners.
Hill, who has been an unlucky jockey, earned £692 IQs in winning fees and £3 tor one losing fee.
Between them Moore and Hill brought £34,051 in prize money to the owners who employed them.
