Indoor Bowls WORKINGMEN'S CLUBS TOURNEY
West Coast Wins Gilby Trophy GREYMOUTH, October 2 West Coast Workingmen's Club wan the Gilby Trophy for section play in an indoor bowls match against Canterbury Workingmen’s Clubs at Greymouth on Saturday. Thirtytwo rinks competed in the tournament, which was held in the Army Drill Hall. Coast gained the advantage in section play by « games to 61. The Westland Breweries trophies and the MeCreanorAshby Cup. st stake in the finals of the poet-section play, were won by L. Dun (Riccarton). runner-up being C. Woods (Hornby).
A. Dumelow (Kalat*) and C. Higson (Runanga) were the skips of the winning pairs and fours teams, respectively in the finals of the champion of champions tournament played at Cobqen. In the pairs final. Dumelow beat G. Cook (Grey Main), M-5, while Higson beat G. Fowler (Moana) in th* final of the fours.
