Norwegian Line’s Centenary
sh W‘ng line, the Wilhelmsen Agency Proprietary, whose ships visit New Zealand ports, celebratsid it* centenary in Oslo yesterday. Apart from one direct sailing in 1946 the company did not sail to New Zealand—most New Zealand cargo being transhipped from Australia—since 1958 when the line extended its service te include monthly sailings from Baltic and Scandinavian ports to ML Mauaganui, Auckland, Bluff, Lyttelton, Dunedin and Wellington.
Ute company, which began with one sailing ghto cm October I, im, now ba* 72 ship* in its fleet, which are owned by nine shipping companies all owned by three partners, N. Werring, T. Wilhelmsen and N. Werring, jmur.
