Swimming AUSTRALIAN PRESIDENT
Mr H. Ive To Visit Christchurch
Mr H. Ive, of Melbourne, the president of the Amateur Swimming Union of Australia, will attend the annual meeting of the -New Zealand Amateur Swimming Association, to be held at Christchurch during Labour Weekend. He has accepted the invitation extended by the president of the New Zealand body (Mr A. J. Donaldson, of Christchurch) during Mr Donaldson’s recent visit to Australia. Mr Ive, accompanied by his wife, will arrive in Christchurch on October 20 and return to Australia on October 26. Ha will be present at the national coaching forum in Sydney late this month. In a letter to Mr Donaldson, Mr Ive said hi* visit to New Zealand would repay that made by Mr Donaldson to Australia in August. He said he hoped to learn more of New Zealand swimming and to do all he could to foster New Zealand-Aus-tralian relationship* in the Sport.
