N.Z.R.S.A. GOLF TOURNAMENT
Fixture Sought By Christchurch
The executive of the Christchurch Returned Services’ Association last evening decided to apply to the Dominion executive to have the next N.Z.RJS.A. golf tournament held in Christchurch. The president (Mr A. S. Farrar) said the tournament could be held at the Burnham Military Camp golf course. “It is a good course now, and it will be better next year." In reply to Messrs D. Barrett and G. D. Hattaway. he said the Christchurch R.SA. golf committee would stage the national tournament if the application to hold it was successful. It would not cost the local association anything. “We are holding a local tournament next month. We have collected some very good prizes and we hope to mone y to h °W the N.Z.RJ3.A. tournament,” said Mr T. J. Kirk-Buronand. He said the N.ZRJSJL tournament would be held this year at Masterton from October 31 to 23. About 30 members ot the local association were going to the tournement. ft was being staged by the Wairarapa ItS.A.
