NEW DEANERY PURCHASED
The future use of the present deanery at 78 Armagh street is being considered by the Chapter of Christchurch Cathedral and the church property trustees, according to a report of the Cathedral Chapter presented to the Synod of the Diocese of Christchurch yesterday by Mr E. P. Wills. The two bodies had realised for some time the need to provide another deanery because of the increased costs of maintaining the present property, and another property had been bought at 80 Bealey avenue, the report said.
