BLOODSTAINS IN CAR

(N Z. Press Association) WAIPUKURAU, Oct. 2. A bloodstained empty motor-car was found upside down in a stream near Waipawa at 7 p.m. on Saturday The car crashed through 20ft of bridge railing and travelled down a 17ft incline before landing in shallow water.
It is understood three men from Waipukurau -were travelling in the car. Bloodstains were found on the seats but a police check with hospitals revealed no admission of accident victims on Saturday night. The police said today that no persons involved in the accident had yet reported. The identity of the men was known, but their names were being withheld pending further inquiries.
