Monetary Council Report
(NZ Pre.M Assoeiotlon) WELLINGTON, October 3. The chairman of the Monetary and Economic Council (Professor F. W. Holes), said today that the first report of the council would be released on Thursday of next week. He said the report was handed to the acting Minister of Finance last Wednesday in cyclostyled form, snd would now be printed. Normally reports will be published about one week after presentation to the Minister, if printing ean be completed in that time. On this occasion, however, toe Minister of Finance was i overseas. He will return to . New Zealand early next i week. The council eonaid- , ered it proper that the Min- ' ister should have an oppor- > tunity of discussing the report with his colleagues ; before the report waa published.
