NEW SOCKBURN POST OFFICE
Tenders Early Next Year
The Director General of the Poet and Telegraph Department (Mr D. Donaldson) has said that tenders for the proposed Sockburn Post Office will be called early next year. The Paparua County Council -- eived this advice last evening. Referring to a report In newspapers, the matter had not been “shelved,” Mr Donaldson said. He said there was difficulty in getting a pleasing design, but working drawings were well advanced, and tenders would be called early next year. The architects were unable to accelerate progress on the plans, Mr Donaldson said.
