FERTILISER SHIPMENT
800 Tons For Australia
(Nt. Prut AttocUMonj DUNEDIN, October 2. A shipment of 800 tons of blood and bone fertiliser will be shipped from Dunedin to West Australia. Manufactured at the New Zealand Refrigerating Company’s Burnside freezing works, the shipment, comprising 16,000 bags, is probably the largest ever to have left New Zealand. The manager at Burnside (Mr H. N. Davis) said fertilisers were a growing New Zealand export, and this shipment, which had been specially prepared for West Australian conditions, represented almost the total annual output of toe Bumside works.
The fertiliser cargo will be loaded at Dunedin this week into toe Union Steam Ship Company's freighter, Karitone.
