The Australian Government has decided to equip the Mirage 111 fighters it is buy. ing from France with French Atar 9C engines instead of British Rolls-Royce engines, which had been considered as an alternative, the Australian Embassy in Paris said. The fighters and their engines will be built under licence in Australia, reported the British United Press. The Australian-built Mirage 111 is due to come into production early in 1963 and a first Mirage squardon is due to go into service at the end of the same year.
