It is hereby publicly notified that the Christchurch City Council at a Special Meeting held In the City Council Chambers, 194 Manchester street. Christchurch, *t 8.36 pm. on Wednesday, the 20th day of September. 1961, passed the following resolution:— "That in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it by the Municipal Corporations Act. 1954, and the Local Authorities Loans Act, 1958, and all amendments thereto and all other Acts (if any) it in that behalf enabling, the Christchurch City Council hereby resolves to proceed to raise in New Zealand a loan to be known as the Vehicle Testing Station (Cranford street) Supplementary Loen. 1981, of an amount of Three Thousand Five Hundred Pounds (£3500) for the purpose of completing the new Vehicle Testing Station in Cranford street for which the original sum of £35,000 was raised and which sum fes insufficient to comSlete the said work, subject > the following determinations:— (1) The term of which the said loan or any part thereof may be borrowed shall be 10 years. (2) The rate of interest that may be paid in respect of the said loan or any part thereof shall be such as shall not produce to the lender or lenders a rate or rates exceed ire 5 1-8 per cent, per annum. (3) Before raising the said loan the Council will make provision for the repayment thereof by establishing a sinking fund and shall make annual payments to such sinking fund at a rate of not less than £8 8s 6d per cent, per annum of the amount of the loan for the time being borrowed and not repaid. (4) The payment of interest and repayment of principal in respect of the said loan shall be made in New Zealand, and no amount payable as either Interest or sinking fund in respect of the said loan shall be paid but of loan money. (5) The rate payable for brokerage in respect of the raising of the said loan or any part thereof shall not exceed 1 per tent. of any amount raised. (6) No money shall be borrowed under the present s->nction after August 22, 1964. (7) That the security for the repayment of the said loan and the charges thereon shall be a special rate of Sixtv-three-Twenty-five Thousands of a penny (63/25.000d) in the Pound (£.0000105) on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) on all rateable property comprised within the City of Christchurch. Pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act, 1956. it is hereby publicly notified that the foregoing resolution will be submitted to an Ordinary Meeting of the Christchurch City Council to be held in the City Council Chambers situate as aforesaid; at 8 p.m on Wednesday, the 18th day of October, 1961, for confirmation as a Special Order. . It Is hereby publicly notified that the Christchurch City Council at a Special Meeting held in the City Council Chamber, 194 Manchester street. Christchurch, at 8.30 p.m. on Wednesday, the 20th day of September. 1961. passed the following resolution “That in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it by the Municipal Corporations Act. 1954, and the Local Authorities Loans Act. 1956. and all amendments thereto and all other Acts (if any) it. in that behalf enabling, the Christchurch City Council hereby resolves to proceed to raise in New Zealand a loan to be known as the Reserves Redemption Loan, 1981, of an amount of Forty-six Thousand Eight Hundred Pounds (£46,800) for the purpose of redeeming at maturity that portion of the issue of £49,100 of the Reserves Expansion and Development Loan, 1951 £93.800. which matures on December 14, 1981, subject to the following determinations:— (1) The term for which the said loan or any part thereof may be borrowed shall be ten years. (2) The rate of interest that may be paid in respect of the said loan or any part thereof shall be such as shall not produce to the lender or lenders a rate or rates exceeding four and seven-eighths per cent, per annum for principal repayable in one to four years, five per cent, per annum for principal repayable in five to nine years, and five and one-eighth per cent, per annum for principal repayable in ten years. (3) The said sum or any part thereof shall be repaid by annual instalments of principal in the years set out in the first column of the schedule hereunder of the amounts stated opposite each such year in the second column of the said schedule.
