The salary range for a Lecturer is £A1750£A2350 p.a. and for a Senior Lecturer £A2450-£ A 2960 p.a. with superannuation similar to F.S.S.U. in both cases. • The Department of Chemistry is well equipped with infra-red and ultra-violet spectrometers and expects to obtain an NMR spectrometer in the near future. There is an active research group mainly concerned with the Chemistry of Western Australian plant products. PHYSIOLOGY The University of New South Wales invites applications for appointment to the positions of Senior Lecturer or Lecturer ta the School of Physiology within the Faculty of Medicine. The Faculty of Medicine was established ta the University ta 1960, and seventy-five students entered the first year of tile course at the beginning of this year. The teaching of physiology for medical students will begin in the second half of 1962 and for science students at the beginning of 1963. The School of Physiology will move into the new medical science building in 1962. There are research laboratories for cardiovascular physiology, neurophysiology and medical electronics, and there are good workshop facilities. Applicants should be honours graduates in Medicine or Science, or have equivalent qualifications, with experience ta teaching and research in physiology. Salary:— Senior Lecturer. £A2599 range £A3048 per annum. Lecturer, £ Al 779 range £A2484 per annum. Commencing salary will be determined by qualifications and experience.
