Northland Wins Again

WHANGAREI, September 17. The Northland Rugby team had its seventh win in seven matches yesterday when it beat Thames Valley, 18-14, at Whangarei. Thames Valley began in fine style and after 17 minutes was 11 points up. However, at half-time, Northland held the lead. 12-11. Scorers for Northland were E. J. Thompson. P. Marshall and P. F. H. Jones, tries. A J. Bennett, a dropped goal, and M. Walters two penalty goals. For Thames Valley H Howard and A. Townsend scored tries, and R. Wells kicked a penalty goal and a conversion. Howard also kicked a penalty goal.
