Hawke’s Bay Wins
(N.Z. Press Association) GISBORNE, September 17. The Hawke’s Bay Rugby team beat Poverty Bay by 26 points to 9 in fine weather on a firni ground on Saturday. Hawke’s Bay led 13-3 at halftime. Tries for Hawke's Bay were scored by W. Davis, M. Percy, T. W. Johnson and R. C. Spencer, all being converted by A. G. Small, who also kicked two penalty goals. Tries for Poverty Bay were scored by B. P. Johnson, A. G. Rowlands and D Katana.
