WELLINGTON, Sept 17. Part of the evidence into the death of a young Raumati woman who collapsed and died on Mount Egmont on September 3 while on an expedition with a party of young people, was heard before the Wellington Coroner (Mr P. Keesing) yesterday. Margaret Ann Wood, a stenographer, of Wellington, said she was climbing the mountain with another young woman in a scattered party of 36 when they saw the deceased, Nola May Bolland. of Kiwi road, Raumati Beach, lying face down in the mud and snow. They found her between 3000 and 4000 feet up the mountain and about 100 yards from the ski grounds. The deceased was still alive when help arrived but she died later the same day. The Coroner said that the remainder of the evidence would be heard before the Stratford Coroner at a later date.
