HARRIERS Results Of Saturday’s Runs

Harrier clubs in Christchurch held final training runs on Saturday in preparation for the annual Takahe to Akaroa relay race, to be held next Saturday. Anglican Club The club was the guest of the Rev. D. D. Thorpe and Mrs Thorpe, St. John's Church, Latimer square. Senior and junior runners held a 16-mile two-man relay, which resulted: A. Victorian Team Beats Waikato (N.Z. Press Association) , HAMILTON. September 2. The visiting harrier team from Victoria easily beat Waikato today in a BJ-mlie teams’ race, its : runners filling the first three places. There was a field of 18. T. Vincent and A. Book, of ' Victoria, made all the pace, Vincent winning by WO yards in ■ 35mln 13.5 sec. Book was second, and L. HlllbriCk (Victoria) third. A Shaw (Waikato) was fourth, B. Russell (Victoria) fifth, and R. Bokella and R. White, of Victoria, seventh and eighth. A. Parkinson (Hawke's Bay), who was a guest runner, finished eleventh.
