BOATS BY KITSET

The “do-it-yourself” expert, for whom more and more avenues are opening, is now able to build hiS own motorboat. A Paraparaumu boatbuilding firm has recently put on to the market two kitset outfits, one for building an 11-foot boat, and the other for 15-fbot boat.

The kitsete contain the essential machine-made parts

for each boat, parts which the normal boatbuilder would find difficult or costly to make. With each kit goes a complete list of what is needed to complete the boat. It is considered that the amateur boat-builder can buy this more easily in his home town, and get it cut to the size he wants.

The firm, which markets a

wide range of completed motor-boats and accessories, makes the kitset pants very quickly on its machines. By

excluding from the kit those parts which can be easily obtained by the home builder, freight charges are reduced by as much as £l4.
