Dominion Competitions For St. John Cadets

AUCKLAND. Sept. 3. The St. John Ambulance Brigade's Dominion cadet competitions were held in Hamilton on Saturday, about 90 boye and girls. aged between 13 and IS, competing. Teams of ambulance and nursing cadets were tested in practical and theoretical firstaid and home nursing. Competitors tn the events for in-, dividual cadets had to give lectures on their work at five minutes’ notice, and take practical and oral testa in first-aid and home nursing Results were:— Sir Alfred Robin Memorial Shield, for champion ambulance cadet team.—Auckland. Barclay Memorial Shield, for champion nursing cadet team.— Auckland. Dutton Shield, for runners-up for Sir Alfred Robin Memorial Shield. Canterbury - West Coast. Linen Guild Cup. for runnersup for Barclay Memorial Shield. —Auckland. * Gilbeid Cup, for champion

Rockwell Cup. for best ambulance cadet team member.— David Poole (Auckland). Dominion Rose Bowl, for beet nursing cadet team member.— Penelope Taylor (Auckland). Bledtslce Cup. for individual champion ambulance cadet.— Hugh Brosnan (Taranaki) Valiant Plaque, for runner-up for Bledisloe Cup—Christopher Beaver (Auckland). Canterbury Centennial Shield for Individual champion nursing cadet.—Eileen Cousins (Auckland). Roiy Nelson Trophy, for run-ner-up for Can terbury Centennial Shield—Lorraine Inskip (South Auckland)
