Discussion By Exporters A.-Reuter—Copyright) CANBERRA, Sept 3. Australia's policy on the European Common Markert will be discussed at a meeting in Canberra of exporters from all states tomorrow and Tuesday. The conference will discuss steps to offset losses caused by Britain's possible entry into the market and also the establishment of a Pacific area union. Other matters which will come up for consideration will include freight rates, particularly to Asian markets, operation of export incentives, Government assistance in overseas shipping freight rate negotiations, and more regular shipping services to South America. The conference will examine a proposition by the Primary Producers’ Union that the Government give Common Market manufactured products preferential tariffs.
Delegates will receive guidance arising from detailed planning set in motion by a special sub-committee of the Federal Cabinet, headed by the Prime Minister (Mr Menzies).
