Parliament’s Diary
The discussion of the Estimates occupied most of yesterday’s setting of the House of Representatives. The estimates passed with last year’s , figures in parenthesis were: Legislative Department, £287,250 (£283,760), Prime Minister’s Office. £28.100 (£26.147).
The annual report of the Patriotic Fund Board and Canteen Fund Board was tabled and Mr S. A. Whitehead (Opposition, Nelson) presented a petition on behalf of the Nelson Harbour Board. The House rose at 4.50 p.m. until 2.30 p.m. on Tuesday.
