New Zealand women skiers ■ today had' a clear victory j over Australia to take the ! over-ail title and the Brian Todd Trophy on the final day of the sixth post-war inter- ; Dominion ski-ing championships. The Australian men ■ narrowly won the combined ; | title for the E. W. Mitchell I Trophy. Today’s racing comprised downhill teams events. The 1 slalom was held yesterday. ‘ The New Zealand women won with no points lost. I completing the course 44.35ec .. faster than the Australians. I who lost 19.44 points. i; The Australian men completed the event 17.5 sec ahead of New Zealand, with jno points lost. New Zealand II lost 3.77 points. Leading i: performers today were Misses A- Latham and C. Womers- ' ley, of New Zealand, and W. Day (Australia), W. Hunt i (New Zealand), M. Payn.ter (Australia), and D. Coll/man (Australia). 'j In the men's event, each . country had six representa- . ■ tives. with the times of five i being counted for the aggregate. Fotir women repre- ,; sented each country, with the /times of three going towards /the aggregate. Today’s events were con- : ducted at Crackenback, in .• the Showy Mountains area of New South Wales.
