DEAD-HEAT IN PARADE

Two-Year-Old Trials A colt by Misty from April Hall in J. L. Ferguson’s Tinwald team and a colt by Meadow Chief from Largesse in C. R. Berkett’s Templeton team, dead-heated for first in the parade for two-year-olds run over six furlongs at trials held at Methven yesterday. A filly by Dalewtn from Gwen Gamble made the pace, but dropped out early in the run home. The colts by Misty and Meadow Chief drew clear and paced keenly at the finish eight lengths in front of a filly by Captain Adios from Rose Brigade, with two lengths to the Dalewin filly. A gelding by Morano from Rosie Mom was fifth, followed by a filly by U. Scott from Globe Pincess. The winners both look to have done plenty of work and they should be well forward by the time two-year-old racing starts later in the season.
