Fresh Glasses Urged

AUCKLAND, July 11, '. TOe issue of fresh glasses by barmen for each reftfi in “sdhool” drinking in hotel bars was suggested by Mr T. M. Houston, the senior inspector for the Health Department. as a remedy for unhygienic practices associated with "school ” drinking. He said that alternatively the hotel could have some identifying mark on each glass so the customer would know which was his. “Quite often the man to, a 'school’ wifi drink from several used gisases." said Mr “This is no fault of barmen. As far as they are concerned the glasses go back to the same drinkers time. But of course, such is not the case.
"The existing situation is not the fault of the botete. but of the drinking public However the hotels, by cfoim? something along the lines suggested, could help wipe out this unhygienic practice ”
