NATIONAL PARTY CONFERENCE

400 Delegates To Visit City About 400 delegates and members of Parliament will visit Christchurch on the week-end of July 22 tor the annual Dominion conference of the National Party. It will be the first time the conference has been held in the city since 1955. Each of the five divisional headquarters of the party is the venue for a conference, but in election year the conference is always held in Wellington. Saturday. July 22. will be an all-day working session tor the conference, and there will be a social gathering in the evening. A special service will be held in the Christchurch Cathedral on Sunday morning. and in the afternoon visitors will be taken for a scenic drive and visit Canterbury Agricultural College. Lincoln. The conference will continue all day on Monday.
