Centennial Pool
Sir, —May I add the burden of five years’ experience to those who have protested against the condition* at the Centennial Pool? For five seasons I have suffered the iniquities and the discomforts involved. And, had it not been for my use of a very strong linanwnt before putting on my clothing, I could quite well have suffered serious consequences. But consider the iniquities endured at every carnival by our swimmers. Overloaded with wraps of all kinds they have to route march to the ■starting blocks. Arriving, they peel off in a regular strip tease act. then have to mount the blocks, to stand in a chilling atmosphere. Then after the event they have to frog march, all the way back shivering in their wet things.—Yours, etc., R. M. THOMSON. July 2. 1961.
