New Deputy-Chief For Qantas

Captain R. P. Ritchie has been appointed deputy-chief executive and de;xs*y-general manager of Qantas Empire Airways. He succeeds Captain G. U. (“Scotty") Allan who retired on June 30. Captain Ritchie, a former Qantas captain, has taken a leading part in buildling up Australia's overseas aircraft fleet and air bine network in the pow-ww period.
