Thomeycroft In Brief Talks (N.Z.P.A.•Reuter—Copyright) KUALA LUMPUR. July J. Mr Peter Thomeycroft. Britain’s Aviation Minister, spent a quiet morning today after completing formal discussions with the Malayan Government in about one hour yesterday on the possibility of Britain entering the European Common Market. He had no appointments before a private lunch with a few local businessmen, given by the British Trade Association. Mr Thomeycroft is one of three Minirters sent from London to discuss with Commonwealth countries the prospects and consequences of Britain's possible association with the European Common Market. He has already visited Singapore and arrived in Kuala Lumpur yesterday morning. He met the Prime Minister (Tunku Abdul Rahman) and members of the Cabinet for about one hour later in the day. after which an official communique Mid they exchanged views and had s full discussion of the implications for Malaya of any association by Britain with I the Common Market. Earlier. Malayan official ‘sources said they believed Britain's association with I the Common Market was inevitable and they had no special fears.
