Lincoln Women's Group.— Mr B. J. Abley, staff electrician at Canterbury Agricultural College, gave a talk an “electricity in the home' at a recent meeting of the Lincoln College Women’s Group. After the meeting he agreed to conduct group Claeses in maintaining home electrical equipment.
Fendalton Townswomen.— The Fendialton Townswomen’s Guild held its fifth birthday party recently, when the president (Mrs G. Lindley) welcomed officers of the Christchurch Federation of Townswomen’s Guilds. A specially invited guest was Mrs Stephenperry, of Shaftsbtiry, Dorset, who later lit the candles o-n the birthday cake. The cake was cut by the Dominion secretary (Mrs R. Smith). Items were given by the ringing and drama circles. Mrs Smith congratulated the guild on its year’s work. Three new members were welcomed. Sprays were presented to guests.
