Letters sent to the Editor! tor printing must be writ- 1 ten in ink on one side of I the paper only, and writers I must send in their names I and addresses m lull, whether they wish these to be published or not, 2. Letters must not be of more than 150 words tn length. White Waters.—Correspondence on German re-armament recently dosed. Stephen Erber.—The chairman of the arts promotion committee of the Christchurch Junior Council (Mr G. H. Reddell) said: "As early as January we advised the newspapers about the forthcoming Arts Festival, and we assumed that any organisations other than those which had already been contacted, which wished to take part in any way, would let us know. The University Drama Society was asked through its producer to re-present one play, but she said it would not be possible to do so and she did not advise u< that any other production would be presented. We apologise for the omission and wish the group every success in its part of the “Arts Festival."
