Skier Dies.—The last of the Norwegians who beat Captain Scott to the South Pole died in Morgedel, eastern Norway, last night, the Associated Press reported. He was Atav Bjaaland, aged 88, one of the four experienced skiers who accompanied Amundsen to the Antarctic in 1911.—(Oslo. June 9.)
