South Korean Purge
(NZ.P.A -Reuter —Copyright) SEOUL, June 11. The South Korean Military Government announced today the dismissal of 9291 civil servants for having dodged compulsory conscription. This is the third purge of government officials since the coup d’etat on May 16. Three hundred civil servants were dismissed for draftdodging and 1385 were also dismissed for keeping a concubine in the first and second purges. The dismissed officials represent about 6 per cent, of all civil servants in South Korea.
