MINISTERS’ TOUR
No Comment By Holyoake (N Z Press Association) WELLINGTON. June 9. The Prime Minister (Mr Holyoake) today declined to confirm Londi-n reports that British Ministers will visit Commonwealth countries for talks on Britain's possible entry into the European Common Market. Replying to questions, he raid: “I am not prepared to comment on the reports beyond saying that I am in constant touch with the United Kingdom Government on the subject of its association with the European Economic Community. “The form and timing of still closer consultation with New Zealand and other Commonwealth countries is also under discussion, but. in accordance with the usual practice in the Commonwealth, no official announcements will be made until suitable arrangements have been agreed on by the countries concerned. “In the event of agreement some mutually convenient date for a simultaneous announcement will be arranged. “I can only confirm that Mr Macmillan has. on several occasions, assured me that there will be full consultation with Commonwealth countries."
