ARTIFICIAL LIMBS
“No Change In Policy” There had been no change whatever in the charges for artificial limbs, the Prime Minister (Mr Holyoake) said at Rangiora last evening. He was answering an advertisement: “Let’s protest against the mean and paltry action of the Government that has decreed that little crippled children should be charged for artificial limbs.” “All the guarantee I am going to give is that if I find the Labour Government has been doing this terrible thing then we will reconsider it,” Mr Holyoake said. "If there are such charges, then they must be charges of the Labour Government.”
