Cycling Dalton To Race In World Titles
(NZ. Press Association) WELLINGTON. June 2. W. Dalton, a leading New Zealand cyclist who is riding with distinction in Britain, has been nominated by the New Zealand Amateur Cycling Association for the 4000 metres individual pursuit event and the road race at the world championships in Switzerland early in August. This was announced today by Mr V. Ross, the secretary, who said that the national selectors were also considering the possible nomination of G. D. Ulmer, of Welling- ! ton, and R. Harrison, of i Christchurch, who recently arrived in Britain. Ulmer might get nomination also for the pursuit and road championships, and if ; he did Harrison would prob- - ably be entered for the road ! race, thus giving New Zea- ! land a team of three.
