Campbell Going To Australia

The British driver. Donald Campbell, is exnected to arrive in South Australia about the middle of June to study the 19-mile Lake Eyre run proposed for his land speed record attempt of up to 500 miles an hour, the “Adelaide Advertiser.” said today. Mr Campbell and his party will fly from Adelaide and land Mi Lake Eyre, 400 miles north from Adelaide, after he has conferred with the South Australian Premier (Sir Thomae Pl ay ford). Mr Campbell said recently in England that he hoped to make the record attempt in July. A Government grader suitable for scraping the run and removing its Sin high salt islands is already at the take. The present world land speed record of 394 miles an hour was established by the late John Ccbb.
