Smart business deals were made yesterday morning by many of 100 or so boys, aged from six to 15. fishing from the Wellington wharves. They sold their herrings to waterside workers and other passers-by for 2d each. Keen competition later forced the price down to Ud. In spite of this financial set-back, some showed a tax-free return of 6s.—(P.A.)
