EASTER PASSION PLAY
Plans For Future Presentations
The committee which organised the Passion Play presented in Christchurch last Easter has decided to approach various city organisations for their support in setting up the committee on a permanent basis. This waf announced yesterday by the convener (the Rev, Father J. Coleman). Tentative plans were already being made for the presentation of a Passion Play in future years but the production of such a play next Easter, was not planned, he said. The committee was having difficulty in storing all the properties. costumes and scenery used during the production. An appeal was being made to city warehouses and organisations which might oe willing to help. Applications should be made to him at the Addington Catholic Presbytery in Spencer street. A cheque for £llOO would be presented to C.0.R.5.0. by the organising committee at a ceremony on May 31. The balance of proceeds from the play would be forwarded later when final organisation had been completed, sa d Father Coleman. At the evening coloured slides taken during the play would be shown and a full report presented.
