Captain A. R. Champion will leave Christchurch by air today for Whangarei, where he will give technical advice to the Whangarei Harbour Board on the Port of Whangarei Captain Champion will return to Lyttelton aboard the Dominion Monarch. due at Lyttelton from Auckland on May 15. Mr K. A. White has been appointed representative of the board of managers of Christchurch Technical College on the general committee of the Risingholme Community Centre.
Members of the Christchurch Citizens’ and Ratepayers’ Association stood in silence at their annual meeting last evening as a mark of respect to the late Cr. W. J. Cowles. A message of condolence will be sent to his wife and family
