Further Beef Price Rises Fair average quality cow prices and boner beef prices have been raised 5s per 1001 b in the export meat schedules which became effective on Monday. On March 13 these prices were reduced 5s per 1001 b. On March 17 other beef grades were raised 5s per 1001 b, retrospectively to March 13. The altered prices are as follows: s. d. Var'n. _. „ per lOOtb s. FA.Q. cow .. 110 0 +5 Boner Beef— Cow ox. heifer .. 113 6 +5 Overfat cow, heifer 87 S +5 Bull .. 133 6 +5 Bonus Instead Of Dividend Carlton Investments, Ltd., New South Wales, will omit the interim ordinary dividend and substitute a one-for--10 bonus issue in place of a final cash dividend. The directors say this will make the profit for the year, less preference charges, available to takeup new share issue to which companies in the group are entitled. Carlton Investments acts as a holding company, owning shares in hotels and an investment company. The directors say the bonus issue will benefit shareholders more than the usual 20 per cent, cash dividend. The bonus issue will be financed from special reserve. Involving £8202, it will raise the total capital to £173,201.
