EXTRADITION BID REJECTED
(N.Z.P A .-Reuter—Copyright) CANBERRA, March 18. The Australian Government has decided to reject the Russian demand for the extradition of an Estonian migrant to stand trial on charges of war-time atrocities. The Government made the decision after studying documents sent from Moscow to support the Soviet application for the extradition. The migrant, Erwin Viks, of Sydney, was accused by Russia of having taken part in mass shootings of Soviet citizens in Estonia during the war.
