SUCCESS OF NURSE
Christchurch Girl A Christchurch girl has gained outstanding honours at the Wellington Public Hospital. She ss Miss M. J. McKenzie, who was awarded the Francis Keith Payne Gold Medal for the most outstanding nurse in her class, and the A. W. Croskery Memorial Prize for gaining top marks in the hospital final examination. She also obtained honours in medicine and surgery in her final nursing examination. Miss McKenzie, who received her awards recently at the nurses’ graduation ceremony in the Wellington Town Hall, is the only daughter of Mr and Mrs D. J McKenzie, of Riccarton. She attended the Greymouth Technical High School and Nelson Girls’ College, and worked for nine months in a Government office in Nelson before nursing. This year she will be a staff nurse at Wellington Hospital.
