31 Seamen Rescued
(N.ZJ’.A.-Reuter— CopprigM) LONG BEACH, March 18. The United States Coast Guard today rescued 31 men from the Greek cargo ship Dominator, broken and buckled by high seas since it went aground on a reef in a fog on Monday. The ship’s agent said the 10.000-ton vessel, loaded with wheat for Algeria, was wrecked by battering waves last night. Woollen Mills Award Wage increases of 2d an hour for adult male workers, lid an hour for adult females, and other amounts for juveniles were granted to employees in woollen mills and related Industries in Canterbury as the result of a meeting this week under the chairmanship of the Conciliation Commissioner (Mr S. W. Armstrong). The award which includes these increases operates for 18 months. The increases are dated back to February 8.
