Russian Horse Bites Jockey
(N.Z P.A (Rec. 8 p.m.) LONDON, March 17. Epigraff, the most favoured of the three Russian horses which will compete in the! Grand National, was sick yesterday after biting his jockey. Epigraff began stumbling at the Russian training quarters at Haydock Park, 15 miles from Aintree, and was confined to his quarters. A Russian interpreter told Mrs Mirabel Topham, the managing director of Aintree. that Epigraff had bitten his jockey and was “not feeling very well.”
