REMANDED TILL APRIL 12
Freezing Worker On Charge Of Murder (N.Z. Press Association J WELLINGTON, March 18. The Lower Court hearing into a oharge of murder against Edward McMillan Sweeney, aged 38, freezing worker, is likely to commence on April 12. Sweeney appeared before Mr M. B. Scully, S.M., in the Magistrate’s Court today and was remanded to that date Sweeney is charged with the murder of Isabella Black Taylor, sometimes known as Elizabeth Sweeney, who was found dead at Sydney street west on the night of March 8. Airport Hangar Extension Tenders are being called for the extension of No. 1 hangar at the Christchurch airport. The hangar is owned by the Christchurch City Council but rented by Airwork (New Zealand), Ltd. The extensions will provide an extra 12ft on the south-west end of the hangar as additional office accommodation for the company.
