Industries At Woolston
Sir, —I read in your paper that we are to have a fibre glass industry operating in the old tannery building and that it throws out noxious odours. Don’t you think the council should consider us as we in Marlands road and Maunsell street are zoned residential. What with rubber. gelatine, battery, and plaster factories and this one we will get very little fresh air at all. just steam. We will have to leave the area for the children's sake. Perhaps one of the councillors could spend a week in the area and smell for himself. It really makes one »lck at times.—Yours, etc.. FRESH AIR, PLEASE. March 17, 1961.
