Opossums And Rabbits
Sir.—Can rab-bit boards! handle opossums and rabbits? The answer is definitely no. They have as much as theycan handle now and more in some places. The rabbit is . not finished yet, by a long , way. Let up on them in the ! I slightest and they will in-' I crease rapidly. Some boards; < have been operating about 15 i years and have them down? ; to a certain few and are now | not making much headway. I These few are well scattered j ' and hard to get. Any fool i can scatter poison where they ' are thick and kill thousands ! but cleaning up the last few I is a different matter. To kill I opossums, some boards have ’ thousands of acres of rough bush land where there are no rabbits that would have to be gone over. How many rabbiters know anything about killing opossums anyway?—Ycjurs, etc.. WON’T MIX. March 17, 1961.
