MR HINN'S POST
Appointment Contested (N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Mar. 17. An appeal against the appointment of Mr J. K. Hunn as Secretary of Maori Affairs has been lodged with the Public Service Appeal Board. The appellant is Mr A. G. Hercus, legal officer to the Maori Affairs Department. He has served in the department for nearly 30 years and holds the degrees of M.A. and LI.M. Mr Hunn was recently appointed to the position after a year as acting head of the department. Previously, he was a member of the Public Service Commission.
